Nau mai haere mai - Welcome to Pukerua Bay School
It is a real privilege to lead Pukerua Bay School, working alongside a dedicated team of staff and students from our juniors in Rawhiti, through to our seniors in Te Motu. The future for which we are getting our tamariki ready is ever-changing, and we don't know what vocations and life experiences they will come up against.
At Pukerua Bay School, we have KURA values that we follow, it encourages our students to be the best they can be and work towards achieving our vision of 'Our learning helps our community~ our community helps us to learn.' We aim to create an environment where all our students experience success; through an academic, cultural, physical, social and emotional sense.
We encourage strong working partnerships between whānau, staff, and students. Where students are valued and empowered as active participants, it's vital for improving educational outcomes. We also value parents/whānau recommendations and acknowledge how important family is to our school community, hence our vision. We do welcome feedback. Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or recommendations.
As a staff, we are fully committed to making Pukerua Bay School a place where learning is key, as well as having fun along the way! We endeavour to provide programmes in which children are engaged, challenged and supported in their learning experiences. We want our students to reach their full potential.
I hope our website provides you with worthwhile information about who we are.
